Hi everyone, I hope your weeks are going well so far. This week’s post will be a little shorter and different than other posts on my blog, but I felt it was important to not ignore what was going on back at home. Hurricane Harvey has destroyed many people’s homes and lives this week, so I’m finding the other things on my mind very trivial to write about at the moment. That’s why I’m going to post the American Red Cross’s website at the end of this post. I am not one for “spamming” my friends on Facebook, but after reading a bit I think the Red Cross will be of the most help to the people of Texas. So if you’d like, go to their website and donate as much as you can. This disaster, along with other hurricanes, has affected my relatives living in Texas, so I will be donating as well.
In the spirit of my blog and the message of living life to the fullest and being positive, I will end with saying that this does make me feel extremely grateful for my life and the minimal problems that I have in everyday life. It’s not that problems that aren’t seen as enormous troubles can’t be taken seriously, but it does put things into perspective.
Please comment to share any other organizations that are helping the people affected by the hurricane.
Thanks for reading,
Ashley x
Thanks Ashley!
Team Rubicon is a great organization that utilizes veterans.
